About Us – Options Research Group

Our Story

Founded in 2023 in Indiana by clinical research professionals with a decade of experience managing investigator sites, Options Research Group was built on a simple idea – physicians should focus on patients while a dedicated team handles the rest.

Our full-time coordinators, regulatory specialists, data managers, and operations staff manage everything from IRB submission through study completion. This model keeps investigator time focused where it matters – on patient care.

One of our investigators, with no prior trial experience, has enrolled over 70 patients in a Pfizer pediatric migraine study – a result that reflects strong operational support and access to the right patient populations. Today we partner with more than 33 sponsors and CROs across dermatology, neurology, pediatrics, ENT, and oncology, with operations in Indiana and Arizona.

ORG handles regulatory submissions, IRB coordination, eSource documentation, data entry, patient scheduling, and sponsor communication. Physicians participate in research without disrupting their practice, and sponsors get sites that deliver.

Selective Growth

We add locations when we find strong investigators and patient populations that are underrepresented in clinical research. Our Indiana sites cover the Indianapolis and Lafayette markets, and our Arizona expansion opens access to the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Maureen Banning, RN, CCRC

Founder & Director of Clinical Operations

Maureen brings nearly a decade of clinical research experience to ORG and built the organization’s operational foundation from the ground up. As a registered nurse and Certified Clinical Research Coordinator, she oversees protocol compliance, data quality, and patient safety across every active study.

Ryan Banning

CEO & Owner

Ryan co-founded Options Research Group with Maureen. He oversees business development and sponsor relationships, helping grow ORG’s network to more than 33 pharmaceutical companies and CROs. His focus is on building long-term relationships with sponsors and CROs who value reliable site performance.

Jason Babcock, MBA, ACRP-CP

VP of Business Operations

Jason brings over a decade of clinical research operations experience to ORG, overseeing contract negotiations, eSource development, and site expansion. An ACRP-certified professional with an MBA in healthcare management, he leads ORG’s growth into Arizona and coordinates between sponsors, investigators, and clinical teams.
